Paul was a founding partner of ASX listed Energy Developments Limited (EDL), which was established in 1988 and listed in 1993. During his 15 years with EDL Paul served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. EDL became arguably Australia’s leading energy and gas industry innovator, pioneering land fill and coal seam methane generation, and CNG innovations resulting in Australia’s first “virtual pipeline” including prime mover fuelling using CNG.

Prior to his time with EDL Paul had 18 years’ experience in oil and gas production, including 15 years management and supervision with Esso Australia limited in Bass Strait and the Gulf of Mexico (USA) operations, and 3 years as Production Manager for ASX Listed TMOC Resources Ltd.

Since his retirement from EDL, Paul has developed a number of entities that comprise the Paul Whiteman Family Group which includes IntelliGas Group Limited. These interests also included pump manufacture through ownership of Multiflo Pty Ltd, and transportable building manufacture and property development through Mosaic Developments Pty Ltd.


Derek Fekete

CEO IntelliGas Group

Derek joined ASX listed Energy Developments Limited at graduation and spent 15 years with EDL as an engineer pioneering technologies in landfill gas, coal seam methane, LNG and CNG. His role included electrical and control engineering, power station and gas facility engineering and construction, operations management and business development in Australia and the USA. He held the position of Executive General Manager Business Developments for EDL prior to his resignation in 2004.

Subsequent to his EDL career, Derek joined Mosaic Developments Pty Ltd and became involved in a number of residential and industrial property developments and the establishment of Mosaic’s modular building manufacturing facilities.

He is presently focussed on establishing the IntelliGas Group of Companies, which are developing the technology that is the subject of this document. Derek is a Graduate Engineer from the University of Queensland, and has a Master of Business Administration from Griffith University.


Adrian Abbott

Adrian is a Director and Chief Operating Officer of CREATENERGYe and Executive director of the IntelliGas Group of Companies. He is a technical developer of CREATENERGY’s innovative Waste to Energy technologies. The company disrupts industry views on waste as an end of life product, and engineers enabling technologies to realise the value of the waste as a highly valuable commodity.

Adrian has a proven track record of successful identification and implementation of sustainable business improvement projects. Adrian has been previously recognised as a Telstra and Queensland Government “Entrepreneur of the Year”.

Adrian is a member of the International Society of Explosives Engineers, and recently presented at their 40th Anniversary conference in Denver, USA.


Craig James

Craig is an international executive with more than 25 years experience in marketing, strategy and portfolio, trading and risk management, mergers and acquisitions, strategic procurement and supply chain operations. Most recently led the turnaround of Shell Australia’s Downstream Marketing businesses with a $17 billion per annum turnover, increasing annual EBIT by more than 25% in three years.

Formerly Vice President Downstream Global Projects for Shell International completing more than 50 business turnaround projects in Shell operating units across the globe, including the successful integration of Shell’s $1.8 billion acquisition of Pennzoil-Quaker State.

Craig held 9 Public Company Directorships during 2001-2013. He is a former Director of the Australian Institute of Petroleum, Nationwide Oil (a Shell / Transpacific Industries JV) and 15 Shell Group Company Directorships including Shell Company of Australia Limited and Shell Refining Australia Limited. Craig graduated from Insead’s (Fontainebleau Campus, France) Executive Leadership Programme in 2005.


James Tauchnitz

James Tauchnitz is the CEO of IntelliGas’ Gas and Oil Technology business, IntelliLift. Prior to joining IntelliGas in 2018, James had founded a number of successful gas and oil technology companies including Jet Lift Australia, Human Energy Partners, Cyrus Energy and Petro-King Australia. James has held the position of Managing Director – Australia at Petro King from 2013 until 2017, overseeing the business its strategic direction and growth to 18 full time staff and contractors providing fit for purpose services to Australian oil and gas clients.

In April 2016 James was founding Partner of Cyrus Energy – a bespoke, Iran focused oil and gas commercial advisory house. Cyrus Energy provides Investment Advisory to clients in Iran.Prior to this James was Technology Manager at Arrow Energy a joint venture between Shell and CNPC. James has also held engineering and project management positions with BHP Billiton and Origin Energy. He has significant (pre and post FID) experience leading multi-disciplinary teams executing challenging upstream projects.

James has significant China-Australia business experience across oil and gas, manufacturing and investment. He is an advisory board member at Hart Energy, a guest speaker at the American Chamber of Commerce – Australia and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.


David-Nichols

David has worked extensively in the oil and gas industry since starting as a graduate pipeline engineer in 1989. Initially David began working on cross-country high-pressure transmission pipelines, above ground gas installations, compressor stations and petrol chemical plants in various site and management roles. Since joining IntelliGas as the Chief Operating Officer, David has implemented systems and processes including ISO accreditation across Quality, Safety and Environment. Steering the business towards decarbonisation and optimisation with a range of products and services such as High Point Vents, Gas Re-injection Modules, and In-field Compressors.

David has worked predominantly in the CSG industry since 2011, acting as a consultant to major operators such as QGC, Santos, Origin Energy and Arrow Energy developing maintenance and emergency response plans. David was a founding Partner of iPipe Services Pty Ltd which was established in 2013 and acquired in 2016 by the MH Carnegie Group. During his time with iPipe, he served as the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and Lead Technology Officer and was responsible for the success of many of the company’s innovative products and solutions.

David has over his career contributed to the APGA Code of Practice since its conception and was Chairman until his resignation in 2019. David’s contributions span across greenfield construction and Brownfield maintenance works including installation, emergency response and maintenance.
